Effective Monday September 13th, The Martha Stewart Show has a new home on Hallmark Channel.
Come to Phidippides to celebrate the occasion with a FUN RUN and get some great FREE stuff!
We will have some great Martha Stewart swag for our group to wear/have during the runs celebrating Martha's move to Hallmark Channel.

Come get FireEd Up! for our 5K Road Race. Come get FIRED up to run for Higher Education. A traditional course through the Virginia Highland area, always good. Cool off by getting hosed down by AFD Engine 19! To fund college scholarships for eligible Grady and Washington High School graduating seniors. For 37 years, AFD Station 16 has continued a proud tradition of hosting a Christmas party for youngsters in Station 16's area. Station 16 and 19 are reaching out to high school students in these areas by using this race to generate college scholarships. Since inception, this race has awarded 15 scholarships.

In popular culture, the Battle of Marathon is associated with Phidippides and his legendary run of approximately 26 miles from Marathon to Athens, where he is supposed to have announced the Greek victory over the Persians with the word “Νενικ?καμεν" (We have won), collapsed, and died. It is this legend that gives both name and distance to the modern marathon.
At 9 am on Saturday morning, September 25, the Museum will host Dolichos, a 2.62-mile race through the beautiful Emory campus that will offer runners a less sedentary way of marking the event. For details and registration information, visit the Museum website.

THE MIDTOWN MILE ROAD RACE PRESENTED
BY EMORY UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MIDTOWN
The Festival gets off to a running start at 9am on Saturday, September 25th with the Midtown Mile Road Race presented by Emory University Hospital Midtown. The course begins at Colony Square, catty corner from the Woodruff Arts Center, and ends one mile down Peachtree Street at the Fox Theatre. The Midtown Mile Road Race presented by Emory University Hospital Midtown features one wave for competitive runners and another for recreational runners, families, children, and walkers. Race awards will be presented to the top finishers–male, female, and children 12 and under. Emory University Hospital Midtown is located at 550 Peachtree Street, just south of the race finish line.
