New Finish Line Announced for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race 2008.![]()
The course of the 39th running of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will add one additional turn to the route from previous years to a new finish line at the intersection of Juniper and Ponce de Leon in midtown Atlanta. With our goal to keep the integrity of the race in tact, this change affects the final .6 of a mile of the world’s largest 10k. Minor adjustments will be made to the start to ensure a certified 10k course but all runners will continue to assemble around the Lenox Square Mall area. more info
Remember less then a month away from the Peachtree application coming out in the AJC on March 16th.

The runners were funneled into a crowded narrow street at the end. The rest of the race was handled extremely well. I like the other races’ finish lines better.
